Dan Reardon is a father of a 4 year old daughter, a loving husband, a caring son, and brother of 4 loving “Bromegos” as he calls them, in addition to a caring member of our community. Dan was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma, also known as RMS. This is a form of cancer which develops from skeletal muscle cells that have failed to fully differentiate. This all started with what Dan thought was a horrible toothache. An unnecessary root canal was performed all to find it was not his tooth at all. After a probe in his nasal cavity, they discovered a tumor had settled in his nasal/jaw region, the diagnosis is RMS. RMS is typically a childhood cancer with numerous studies and treatments, the adult type, regrettably, does not.
Last week Dan started the 1st of 40 weeks of chemo treatments with proton radiation to follow. Even though Dan is equipped with determination, positivity and one of the best personalities around, his road ahead is going to be a difficult one. With staying healthy his first priority, unfortunately his time at Colonial VW Subaru will be drastically reduced. With the hopes to ease the financial burden, friends and family members are coming together for Casino Night on March 14th. We are asking for any monetary or in kind donations that will help our Casino night be a huge success. Any and every contribution will help, we appreciate your consideration in advance.
