Hi! My Name is Benjamin Brand and I have chosen to support The Barkann Family Healing Hearts Foundation leading up to my Bar Mitzvah in October which I’m so excited for.

I have been involved with my family with The Barkann Foundation since I was a little boy.

I really like how you can see the families you are supporting and know that you are helping children who are in need.

I am asking all of my family and friends to help join me and my family to support two very special local families who have been referred to The Barkann Foundation through their social worker.

KR is 28 months old and has complex medical issues. The family is currently working to find a safer housing situation through PHA.

Between the mother not being able to work as often as she would like due to the child’s multiple appointments on a weekly basis, she does not have funds to purchase sensory toys at this time.

The child’s therapist is requesting toys to be able to work with the child during their sessions and improve upon her development.

We would like to thank The Barkann Foundation for offering to provide financial assistance to this family who really needs it at this time.

CL is 31 months old with severe autism. The child is unable to be in daycare right now due to significant communication and behavioral needs.

Mom has had to stop working to be with her child who needs constant care and has to manage several doctor’s appointments throughout each week.

Unfortunately, there is a waitlist for specialized day care and ABA services, so Mom does not have other options for care for her child available to her at this time.

The family has subsequently gotten behind on rent and bills and are having a very difficult time catching up.

The family is struggling to feel secure in their housing situation due to being behind in the bills and rent.

We would like to thank The Barkann Foundation for offering to provide financial assistance to this family who really needs it at this time.
